Okay! Musume Time: (7) Contest ~Share The Love~ (And Share A Slogan) - 16.10.2017 - 18.11.2017

It's time for another contest! After almost two years since my last contest, I thought that it was high time to share the Idol love with you all once again, and give something back to you all for supporting Okay! Musume Time all these years!

The prizes this time are a little more fixed than previous contests, so I do apologise, BUT! I hope you all enter, regardless! Thank you, in advance!

Important / relevant information before we get into this post:
  • The contest will run from October 16th, and end on November 18th. All entries posted after this date stamp will not be considered.
  • Any questions may be asked via e-mail, at kmmatt92@gmx.co.uk
  • Comments on this specific post are my preference. E-mail entries are accepted, specifically for Anonymous posters, due to needing to contact you.
  • All comments will go through a spam check before being published.

After such an energetic year in Life, Blogging and Idols, I wanted to celebrate my 7th year in blogging with a contest for those who read, comment, support and enjoy the rambles and idiocy I place onto this very domain! No matter who you are, or where you may be, please know that this is a contest for all of you, and a giant THANK YOU for the tremendous amount of support, love and even the disregard you have shown me for the past (nearly) 7 years!

Of course, like all contests, the prizes I will be giving away are limited to only two; I do not have all the money in the world, nor do I have the means to give everything a little something for participating. Just know that, no matter what, I appreciate you all, and the effort you put into this contest. I just wish that I could give everyone something, aside from these words ):

And now, I want to wish everyone who enters luck in this contest! It won't be a hard one (promise), with this contest standing as my easiest, yet! All you have to do is comment, share the love, and inspire me a little! That is all I ask from you, this time around~

Okay, my yammering's done... Time to get into the details!

[PV Selection] August '17

Like Cinderella, I am late to my very own ball, but hey! It's my blog, so I can arrive any time I want. Still... there's no excuse for a post to come out a month late, when I only do it once a month, right? RIGHT! I'm just useless, and forget things sometimes. This time around, I just got busy, and forgot. Woe is me, all that jazz. WELL, HERE WE ARE!

At least I didn't ignore it, as I planned to. Seriously, I just felt like giving it up XD I really must stop being so negative, and try to manage my time better. Sounds like a plan I will never see through, aye?

OKAY, I'll stop blabbering now. Let's go through the typical spiel. GO!

As per the usual, let's get on with the disclaimers, and all that jazz! Like always, all MV's recorded in this here blog entry are subject to my opinion, and are of course the videos that I have enjoyed from the month gone by, times by two. This does not mean that the PV's not featured are terrible, or that I hate them; they just didn't grab my attention like others did. PLUS, some of those MV's did make it on here, but didn't appear in the final edit of this post. It happens, because opinions change, and my initial view was possibly a lot grander than before. That is just how it is.

Of course, if there is something that doesn't appear that you think I must see, then go ahead and talk about it in the comments! I am open to your suggestions, and I know full well that I can not have seen every MV out there! I am simply one human bean, and one blogger, so if I've missed something, I want you to know that I would like to watch it, if I can!

And with all that said and done, it's time to look at some MV's, and a little bit of commentary on each one! Are you ready to entertain yourselves with our beloved Idols? If so, it's time begin...~

[Music Selection] September '17

Here we go again! After another month, we return to the Music Selection, where I share my choice of songs from the month gone by! With October making its way forward, and September all the way in the past, it's time to start dishing out the new singles and finding my faves... but, wait! We can't forget September's treats, can we, now?

And with September, comes a bunch of new favourites, and perhaps a few oldies that you may recognise and love, already. So, let's get into this, and tune in. Are ya ready to turn the volume up to 100?

This month I turned 25! Wow, big numbers, and halfway to 50! It's weird to think that I'm now 25 years of age, because I still feel 18, but... yeah, that's how age works. Once a year, we hit another number, and the year after that, it only gets bigger.

And, this year, I didn't do a damn Bday post. What in the hey!? But, honestly, I had bigger fish to fry on September 14th. Juicey=Juicey fish... >o>

Anyways... Welcome back to the usual Music Selection, everybody! Hopefully your month in music has been prosperous and filled with variety and happiness! And if not, I hope that there is something here to quench your need for Idols and all things entertaining! Much like always, all songs listed here are based on my personal tastes, and are the tunes I enjoyed throughout the month of September! Whether it is current or released months back, arriving in the future, or decades old, I put here the songs that I have enjoyed, or those that I anticipate! That's the way this works, and for a while, it won't change. Okay? OKAY~

Of course, I cannot listen to all of the Idol music that comes out. I try my best to hear what I can, but, as I am one little soul in a sea of many, there's only so much music I can listen to, and so much I can enjoy. Your suggestions are, of course, appreciated; if there is something missing that you enjoyed, then please let me know about it! If I've not heard it, I shall try my darndest to do so at a later date.

But... I won't always like everything, either. Sometimes, a song is not on here because it's not to my taste, so if there is a song that you suggest, but I never speak of it, then the reason might be that I don't enjoy it, either because it's horrible, boring, or it just doesn't excite me. There can be a number of reasons as to why someone doesn't like a song, and whilst I will happily review it, if the song doesn't stir something inside of me - dislike, delight, energy, anger, the works - then I will disregard it, and ignore it. That is just how I roll, my lovelies.

And with all of that over and done with, it's time to get into the (late) September Music Selection! With the Autumn rearing its head, let's fly away from September, and greet the warmth of Autumn-Winter music. Pop in those earphones, wrap up warm, and entertain yourselves with the remnants of summer, and the beginnings of Fall...

BLAST Away Those Doubts! BLAST Your Ear Plugs Away! It's Time To Experience The Power of Momoiro Clover Z's 'BLAST!' [Single Review}

After reviewing that one MomoClo Z single, Z no Chikai, I seem to have neglected doing the second request that dear Tanera sent me, though honestly, I didn't forget it. I never intended to leave it this long to review the blasted - no pun intended - single, either, but good grief, procrastination happened, and well over a month later, here I am, finally reviewing the bugger.

Welp... at least I didn't leave it to fester, *pretending* to forget it, or refusing to review it, for whatever dumb reason. Because, here I am, ready to review it.

Let's just pray it's better than the trash I had to listen to, last time. Pleas, oh please, let this one be a blast.

Now, that pun was totally meant to be there, but enough with all that. It's time to get into it, and listen to some more MCZ. Prep them ear plugs, guys.

We all know my deal with MCZ. I ignore them, and live happily ever after, a blissful bubble of delight and Idol music that is never infiltrated by whatever they bring out. This is the life I lead, and a life I enjoy, thanks very much. Still, I like that you guys request and suggest stuff; it means I get out of that safe little bubble haven I have made for myself, and it gives me the chance to explore more.

Sometimes, as a blogger, I forget that I need your suggestions as much as I give you suggestions, via my reviews. So, to hear your suggestions, and what you wish for me to review, gives me an idea of what you like, and finally hearing it, why you like it. I may not always agree with your tastes, of course, but that's part of the fun. We get to see why I don't like it, or why I agree with you.

So, basically; feel free to suggest something. I may not get around to it until a later date, of course, cause busy busy, but that doesn't mean I won't give it a chance, either. I'll happily oblige, if I have the time to do so.

In short: I may not care for MomoClo Z like others do, but, I will review them, because I was asked to. Having not heard this single fully (snippets here and there), I can't say much about it right now, so all of my initial opinions will be placed here, as well as some after-thoughts once I've listened to each song more than once. It'll be on a loop, as per the usual, so of course, I hope that I enjoy it.

I mean, I don't exactly care for MCZ, anyway, but I don't want a repeat performance of disappointment with a single of theirs. I am wholeheartedly praying that I like this one, cause I know MCZ do have good music, somewhere in their discography list. I just haven't heard any of it, lately.

So, we're gonna head right on into this, with the hopes that instead of blasting my ears off, it blasts my socks off. Please, please, please be good!

Let's go!

Let's Listen Everyday, But Only If You Wanna - Perfume's 'If you wanna' Single Review!

Well, there has been a n overwhelming (meaning: three) surge of requests for this song. After releasing my Music / MV Selection for the month of August, I found myself with a fair few comments regarding this single, and requesting it for review, to boot.

It's a bit late, but, here it is; a Perfume review you, for If You Wanna, as requested by Anonymous, Violette and Raaaaainboooows. It's happening, you're welcome, sorry for the wait. Life's been hectic.

Time to be entertained... but only if you wanna~

Despite trying my best to follow Idols and Japanese acts as closely as possible, Perfume is one of those few who have never really stood out to me, not because I find them bad or unbearable, but because they just simply don't flit into my radar. I generally don't go out looking for their MV's, or think to find their music, though there will be the odd one or two times where, for some reason, I feel the need to take a look at their latest release. I'm usually impressed, but, it's never been enough to keep me hooked on them.

It's a shame, really. They're a talented trio, and they are entertaining to watch. I just need to find the one. That song and video combo that will hook me forever, and leave me wanting more. Until that happens, however, I will simply have to keep on watching out for them, whenever the desire creeps up on me.

This time, it is less about desire, and more about fulfilling a request. Never a bad thing, mind; it's good to take on other peoples requests to see just why they like it, and to give myself something new to listen to, and potentially find a song that will become my brand new jam. It won't always work out, but, if it does, I'm really thankful, and extremely pleased that it was requested of me. And, given how three people asked about this single review, I can't help but be intrigued, at this point. Is it really that great? Has Perfume come out with something that will blow my proverbial socks off? Well, I bloody hope so, because you've all intrigued me, at this point. Thanks, guys.

So, we;re gonna head right on into this review, with this being the first time that I hear this single in its entirety. I've not played the song, watched the MV, or even dared to preview the instrumental or opening. It will all be brand new to my ears, written from the get-go in my unbiased, unknowing opinion.

Oh, this is gonna be fun. First impressions, A-GO!!!

If you wanna by Perfume

Release Date: August 30th, 2017

Track List:

1. If you wanna
2. Everyday
3. If you wanna (original  instrumental)
4. Everyday (original instrumental)

Juice=Juice LIVE AROUND 2017 ~World Tour~ (London Edition)

This article has been cross-posted from Selective Hearing, which you can find HEREso please check it out there as well as here! Thank you very much!

This year, Hello! Project and Up-Front Agency surprised overseas fans with the news that their group, Juice=Juice, would embark on their first world tour. Running from September 8th until October 1st 2017, the tour saw Juice=Juice perform in Mexico, England, France, Germany, Malaysia, Indonesia and Taiwan, making it the longest running overseas tour for a Hello! Project group to date, as well as the first to see one of the agency's groups enter the UK, Germany, Malaysia and Indonesia.

It was on September 14th that Juice=Juice made their way to London to hold their UK debut. Held at 229 The Venue on Great Portland Street, the seven-member unit would perform to a sold-out crowd of 150 fans. Finally, a Hello! Project group on my own turf – I wasn’t going to miss out on that, especially when I didn't need to travel to another country to see it.

That said, going to London is like a holiday itself; I rarely go, making it feel like I'm entering another country, regardless.

When The Tiara Falls... Houkago Princesses Michishige Saho Has Been Demoted.

On September 17th 2017, Michishige Saho announced via her official Twitter account that she will be demoted as a member of Houkago Princess, and continue as a Houkago Princess YOUTH member from September 27th, on-wards. Staff have yet to release a statement on the matter, but the decision seems final.

From June 3rd, Michishige Saho had been undergoing a 'Study Period' as a member of Houkago Princess, where she would only attend various events subject to availability. She would attend all Team Miracle events that were planned out, however, her performance as a Regular member was very sporadic, to say the least.

This decision was made by both Saho and staff members to try and maximise her abilities, and to improve herself so that she could keep up with the other Regular members. However, due to what may staff's interpretation of a lack in progress, it has now been decided that Michishige Saho will be demoted, and no longer perform as a Regular member of Houkago Princess.

Her final performance as a Regular member will be on September 26th, which is also the Birthday LIVE for Kojima Mayumi, who will turn 22 years of age. Saho has expressed that it is a good occasion to spend her last live as a Regular member, as it is a stage of celebrations.

[Music Selection] August '17

We're finally into September, a month where Summer ends and Fall tries to begin, where education in the West starts anew, and the very month that I turn a year older! It's an exciting month, but right now, we're going to celebrate the songs of August. So, before the September Blues (Hues?) get to you, let's take a look back at what Summer's end delivered to us all, and enjoy the sweet sounds of the Idols we do adore...~

Welcome back to Music Selection! As per the usual, all songs listed within this post were chosen by me, to remind me of the music that entertained me so much from the month gone by! Whether it's old or new, from way back when or just released a week ago, I will pop on here what I think is awesome! Of course, this list is also here to introduce you all to something new, too! Perhaps there is an artist or song you've given a miss, or maybe you're looking to update the Idol Files, and introduce some fresh music into the system? Hopefully you will find something here, and if not, there will always be next month! No matter what, I will try to spice up my list with a little variety.

Of course, I cannot - and do not - listen to all of the J-Music that comes out on the wide, wonderful web. I don't have the time or the taste for everything, so if there's something missing that you enjoyed, there is a chance I either did not listen to it, or I didn't like it. It's the way of the world, and the way of the mind. We can't share the exact same music tastes, otherwise life would be boring, aye.

If there is something you would like me to listen to that you enjoyed, however, please do list it and let me know! I'm always happy to find new groups and songs to enjoy, and your recommendations help my love for Idols to grow even bigger! Sharing is caring, after all~

And with the spiel all done and dusted, let's dive into some music. Plug those earphones in, and crank up the volume! Summer will never die, especially when Idol music is all around us!

Welcome To Graduation Gate '17! The Flowers Are Wilting, Heads Are Banging (Against Walls)

This post was made for satirical purposes. Some of it is serious, though.

Today, on 'Haropromaggedon'...

Shitty MoMusu Costumes!
J=J Boycott Thailand and America!
And for our main feature, Ogawa Rena "Graduates"!

Everyone, please enjoy today's episode. There was so much thought put into its content!

Collectively, fans around the world are banging their heads against tables, walls, and so much more, and are probably wondering what the frick is going on behind closed doors. I mean... two members in exactly three months? WTF sort of poison are H!P spreading on their garden to make their Magnolia's wilt?

Who'll be next in Kobushi Factory? Well, whoever it is, if it happens on December 6th, you heard it here first! It all comes in three's, after all. Let's just pray it's not so... -prays to Lord Gaki-

Oh, and I've just found H!P's latest theme song! I wonder if we'll hear Rena singing it as she packs her bags for a life of solitude and wota-filled dreams? Why don't we all sing along, too?

At 18 o'clock, New Princesses-In-Training Shall Go To The Ball! HouPri YOUTH Introduce A New Generation!

With the recent withdrawal of both Horii Nina and Tanaka Asami on June 3rd this year, Houkago Princesses little sister unit, HouPri YOUTH, went defunct, thanks to its lack of members. This also meant that, at the time, there would be no new 'successors'coming into the main group, not until new trainees were found, of course.

Actually, it was quite surprising that management hadn't already sourced a few new girls before the withdrawal of Nina and Asami. Then again, it would have probably made the auditions they recently held contain a little less impact. Who knows?

So, it was then announced on June 16th via SHOWROOM LIVE that Houkago Princess would hold auditions, with the winners being announced towards the end of August or early September. Girls between the ages of 15 - 25 could audition to become a potential Princess in the running, and they could apply either on SHOWROOM LIVE, or through private documentation and screenings.

And given the date this is being posted, y'all can guess that a few girls made it! So, what are we waiting for? Let's discover just how many made it through, and who they are! Are ya ready to go on another little HouPri trip down member-lane?

Let's GO!

After receiving well over 1,000 applications for their nation-wide search, Houkago Princess finally introduced the faces of a new YOUTH generation to the public! On August 26th and August 28th respectively, 18 new members were unveiled to the public! August 26th saw the debut of the first twelve members, whilst August 28th introduced the final 6, creating one of Houkago Princesses largest generations yet, right after the 3rd generation (which totaled to 7 new members in the trainee programme).

And with all new members accounted for, Houkago Princess and YOUTH brings the Princess-themed unit to a total of 26 members! Someone, call Aki-P up! HouPri48's a-GO!

SIDE BIT: Does the first 12 members' introduction represent 12 o'clock, the time the magic wears off, and the final 6 members' intro represents the 6 is 16 o'clock, when the members become Princesses? >o> Or am I reading too deeply into this, as per usual?

Jokes aside, it's time we take a look at the new HouPri hopefuls! Who is who, and what will we make of them? Better yet, how long will they stay? It's all speculation at this point, but for now, let's celebrate the arrival of a new generation, and look forward to their developments as Idols!

Let's get those profiles up, and take a look!

Goodbye, Pure-Hearted Ballerina, It's Time To Let Your Dark Wings Unfold... - Houkago Princess 'Sayonara Dualina' [MV Review]

In the cut-throat industry of entertainment, there will always be a dark side to the delicate world that has been crafted for audience consumption. Whether it is in singing, orchestra, acting or ballet, there will be those who do what they can to climb to the top, and when they finally get to the top of that ladder, their true wings begin to unfurl...

What side will you find yourself on? Black, or white?

In their latest re-telling of a classic love story, Houkago Princess take centre stage and pirouette to the sounds of duality and conflict in their very own rendition of the classical ballet, Swan Lake! In this modern approach to the iconic ballet, Sayonara Dualina explores the theme of dual feelings towards love as the members prepare to put on a magnificent performance for their fans.

With each member portraying a form of Odette or Odile, Houkago Princess become royalty who change the colour of their feathers to show off the difficulties of falling in love. Tonight, they will put on a performance that will astound you all as they show their passion on the stage, whilst revealing the true conflict of their heart and mind in the most beautiful way they possibly can. By the end of it all, will you figure out if they are going to be upfront with their feelings, or hide them away behind dark wings?

After waiting so long for its release, finally, I can now reveal Sayonara Dualina and review it for you all! Dedicated to one of the most heart-wrenching love stories of all time, Houkago Princess bring forth another beautiful, mature track that will send chills down your spine. With Maika taking the lead as principal vocalist once again, and a beautiful choreography to show off the groups grace, it's time to fall into a world of duality and love, and see what kind of story the girls of Houkago Princess will paint for us today.

In their first ballet-themed release, Houkago Princess will take to the stage and perform Sayonara Dualina to you all! The curtains are beginning to rise, so please take your seats and don't move! A story of peril and woe is about to begin...

This is A Duet I Dance Alone...

A High School Harem Begins! Let THE HOOPERS Capture Your Heart and Mind in 'SHAMROCK'! [MV Review!]

It's time to go back to school, and indulge in the daily life of a high school harem! In a world where girls masquerade as beautiful young men, will these eight gorgeous individuals win the affection of one lucky lady, or stay her friends and keep the rest of the world in suspense for her answer?

Let's indulge in this live action anime-manga book romance you've seen and read a million times over! Will the beautiful school prince win the heart of one lucky lady, or will he continue to compete for her hand against all the other charming boys in the school?

I've never been that into THE HOOPERS. Ever since their debut - and the success that followed it - I feel like I've been more than bitter towards them, because they overshadowed my darling Fudanjuku. That said, I am pleased for the groups success; they're a great bunch, and they make gorgeous men. Like, I can hardly believe any of them are women, especially Lee and Haruki! It's amazing how boyish they all look.

Of course, another reason why I never really found myself fawning over THE HOOPERS had to do with the music not appealing to me that much. This is in part due to me not really listening to anything they've released, and what I have heard, I've either forgotten, or it never stood out enough to make me want to go back to it. Until now, that is!

I don't know what it is about SHAMROCK, but for some reason, it stood out to me. It could be it's highly contagious melody, or it's energy-fueled dance sequence from the music video. There's so much about this song and video that is memorable, in my opinion, and I can't help but adore everything about it! I guess this is one of those tracks that certainly feels more 'Fudanjuku' than others, from the style of the outfits to the style of song, but honestly, it really suits THE HOOPERS to a tee. They rock in this, and they are damn eye-catching in every way possible.

It's also worth mentioning that SHAMROCK is actually a cover of UVERworld's song of the same name, released on their fifth single way back when in 2006. Still, there is no denying that THE HOOPERS gave it their own unique spin, creating a more energetic, pop-rock sound that has some bounce to it. Both tracks, original and the cover, are amazing in their own right, though.

And now, it 's time to fall into this world of girls who dress as beautiful boys! Will they charm you with their individual beauty, or will only a few capture your heart as the video goes along? It's time to find out just which HOOPERS boy will entrance you today, and which ones will fall by the wayside!

My Lady, will you take their hands and fall into a gorgeous new world? Let's take a trip together~

IT'S NOT SO EASY TO BE CONSISTENT!

The Oath of "Z" no Chikai! - Momoiro Clover Z Single Review!

I've literally titled this 'The Oath of The Oath of "Z"! lol

Let the fandom roar! Dust off those cosplay outfits you've been hiding away until the next convention creeps up, let the excitement surge through you, and get ready for the power to go well over 9000! It's time to begin an adventure, and entertain ourselves with a little bit of Momoiro Clover Z!

It's been a good few years since we last saw them here, but it's time! Will I finally change my mind on this group, and give them the good ol' college try? Or will MCZ continue to fall below my radar, and forever dwell in outer space, where I'm currently keeping them?

Let's review and find out.

Courtesy of Tanera, I will finally be reviewing something Momoiro Clover Z related. It rarely happens here, due to my insistence that I don't care about the group, as well as my stubbornness to actually listen to what they have to offer. I mean, the last time I even talked about them was during my Christmas 2016 posts, and that was only to add their annoying, sugar-cookie Santa-san track for the sake of Christmas joy. So, yeah, it's been a fair while since I last did something MCZ related.

Now, given the fact I don't actually listen to this group a whole lot, I'm going into this a little blind. So far, I've only heard "Z" no Chikai itself, but the coupling tracks are a mystery to me. So, this is a review as I listen kind of deal, and honestly, I'm hoping that my opinions on the remaining tracks differ greatly from the opinion I've already formed on the A-side. You never know; I could come out of this really enjoying MCZ's b-sides, and thinking of them differently. There's always that possibility.

I'll probably still be on the fence, but hey! This could be the review to open me up to the possibility of listening to more of their music, and finally jumping into the Stardust pool. I know quite a few friends who would happily greet me on that side of the fence, and show me what's good and what's moderately tasteful.

SO, after quite a few years (five, actually), I am going to be reviewing some Momoiro Clover Z! And no, I don't want to, but this is a request, and I said I would do it! And who knows? I could come out of this enjoying the single and all it has to offer, and maybe more. So, let's get ready to look at some Momoiro Clover Z, power up, and blast this single at full volume!

Prep the earplugs, people. This could get shrieky.

All Aboard! It's Time to Set Sail and Sweep the Deck in BOYS AND MEN's 'Ho wo Agero!'

Welcome aboard, fellow Wota, are you ready to sail the delightful Idol Seas today? As a fore-warning, along the way we may experience a few difficulties, including the threat of a giant fish, and the hardships of a few Idol graduations and withdrawals that you might not expect! Of course, these are things that we Wota will tackle head on, because we are prepared for anything in this big, wide Idol world. It's the way of the Idol fan, after all! So, please grab your life jackets, step on board, and check your personal belongings are all there! Also, please prepare for a bumpy ride, because nothing goes smooth in this realm!

Hey, YO! Let's set sail!

Ever since I first saw the preview of this music video, I knew that I wanted to review it, whether it was the single itself, or the full MV. For so long now, I've been waiting for the full length version of the song to come out, and now, I finally have it all. From beginning to end, Ho wo Agero! has finally been revealed, and it's just as glorious as I expected it to be.

I've fallen in love with both this song and its video. When I first heard the full MP3, I cried with happiness, and when I finally saw the music video - which was uploaded some days ago on the groups Vevo channel - I cried with laughter. It's the perfect amount of silly and energy, and I just can't get enough of it! No matter how many times I watch it, I laugh and smile so much! It's a giant bundle of dorky fun, and BOYS AND MEN are a glorious bunch who pull off that silly attitude super well!

And now, I need to share it with you all! Today we are going to do something a little different, and bring the boys to the realm of O!MT. It's something I rarely do, but sometimes, a change of pace is all we need, and in this wide world of Idols and Music, even the boys should be given a chance, sometimes!

So, without any further delay, it's time to step on board this ship and raise the sails! It's an adventure we're undertaking, and for once, it's an adventure with male Idols at the helm! Are you ready to begin a new journey into the world of BOYS AND MEN, and find something new to enjoy?

All aboard the SS. BOYS AND MEN! What adventures will we encounter this time?

The Blooming Sensation of a Smile! - Tsubaki Factory's 'Shuukatsu Sensation / Waratte / Hana Moyou' Single Review!

The internet is back, so let's start the presses, and get some words out into the open world! It's time to embrace the Idol music, and revel in the beauty that our beloved groups and soloists create! It's a rising sensation, this feeling of happiness, and I can only hope that it blooms even more as I continue listening to the songs I enjoy most!

Will today's single selection make you smile, or wilt with overflowing sadness? It's time to check out some Idol songs, and find out how they make you feel. Let's go!

WOOHOO, I have internet again! To celebrate, I think it's high-time I reviewed this single, because damn, there's so much about it to love! I know a lot of people are praising this release highly, as well as praising Tsubaki Factory for their talent and charm, and I am one of them! That said, I wasn't anticipating reviewing this one here; I was going to talk about it over on Selective Hearing, however, Balma requested I write about it in a comment, therefore, here it is! A review of Tsubaki Factory's second major single, Shuukatsu Sensation / Waratte / Hana Moyou! Honestly speaking, it's probably best I rave about it here; I doubt I could condense my love for this release on SH! I kinda want to ramble, you know?

I've given away my thoughts already (lol), but I've already expressed my thoughts on the MV's as well, so, I doubt you'd be surprised by whatever I have to say, anyways. Still, it's nice to give my thoughts in full, and express my original feelings on the tracks, and such. Here, I have a chance to look at the single in full, and spell out just what I think.

Oh, this will be fun!

So, without any further delay, let's get into Hello! Project's latest physical release, and entertain ourselves with the ever delightful Tsubaki Factory! Will they elicit a smile from you after hearing all three tracks present on here, or will they make you wilt away with a sigh? It's time to find out, so press play and listen closely!

[PV Selection] July '17

The lack of internet almost defeated me, and I was going to give you an unfinished post, missing out a few MV's. However, I saved the link for where I find all my Idol PV's from my horrible laptop, and hurrah, I was able to finish the list! Turns out, I didn't pick that many PV's for the last few listed here, anyways, but ah, well! At least I got to see everything I needed to see!

And now, it's time to get on with the post! What did July have in store for us all, and did you enjoy as many - if not more - as I did? It's time to check them out~

As per the usual, it's time to give all the disclaimers and what not! Of course, this is my own blog, so all videos listed here are the ones that I have enjoyed throughout the year, and are based on my preferences, not yours. I am one woman, and I compile these lists for the fun of it, and also as an archive for all the PV's I see throughout the year. You don't have to like what I like, and you don't have to enjoy it just because I say I do. Your mind is your own, and I know you will pick what fits your taste buds.

Also, if there is a video absent from this post that you enjoy, this could mean a number of things. Either I never watched it, do not know it's available, could not watch it (due to region restrictions) or, I did not enjoy it myself. That does not mean anything, it just simply means it wasn't something that impressed me that much to make it on here, or tickled my fancy at the time. That is how it is.

If you have your own list, be sure to share it with me, or your friends! Remember, sharing is caring, and we need to spread the word of Idols all over the world! If there is something that you love and adore, please, let the globe know.

And with that said and done, I think it's about time we played some Idol Music Videos. Are you prepared for some fun and music?

[Music Selection] July '17

I don't care if I have zero internet, I will find a way to blog! And today I am updating y'all with last month's selection of music, filled with all sorts of joy from the wonderful world of Idols! It's time to get those headphones on, tap those dancing shoes, and bob along to the music! Let's GO!!!

Okay, it's time to ignore my random phone games, and listen to some music from the month of July! As per the usual, all music listed here is subject to my opinion, because this is my blog! Anything here, is what I have enjoyed over the course of the past month, so if you don't see anything you enjoyed in July, big chance I either never listened to it, dismissed it, or just downright never liked it. That's how the taste buds of the ears work, peoples!

Of course, that doesn't mean the songs will never appear! Tastes do sometimes change, and songs can become better with age (or a few hundred loops), so there is a chance that something may appear in a later Selection post! Likewise, anything that appears here today, may have appeared in previous posts, and will most likely return in future Selections! For now, though, let's enjoy what July has graced us all with, and listen to some wonderful Idol tunes!

Tune in for more~

Updates in Blogging and Life! (August 2017)

Hello everyone, and welcome to the month of August, where summer rears it head and the holidays overtake us all! Hopefully, those who are in school are enjoying the time off in the UK, Europe and America, and for those who are working, I hope you are able to get some rest, and are taking care of yourselves!

Now that my time in University is at its end, and work has officially wrapped up for me (for the time being), I thought it was about time to update the blog, and let you know a few things that have happened! Let's put aside the Idols, PV's and music for a day (what a lie, I'm listening to Idol music, right now!) and talk about something else. There's a few updates to go through, so, let's go!

First up, LIFE!

The Job Hunt Begins! Before H!P Can Fire Anyone Else, Let's Get Tsubaki Hired! - 'Suukatsu Sensation' MV Review

Now that my University days are over and done with (at least until the Masters degree beings), it's time to start job hunting, and finally become an adult in society! So, to get me motivated and ready for the long search ahead, let's tune into the latest release from Tsubaki Factory, and begin the grueling task of interviews and dressing to impress!

Please take of me during this long-awaited interview, and thank you for your time!

I swear, Tsubaki Factory's latest release has everyone a-fluster. The Western fandom is going nuts, and yeah, I can totally see why. All three songs are amazing in their own way, and each music video is downright glorious, with Shuukatsu Sensation being the most genius of the three. I mean, damn, Hello! Pro finally put their heads together, used that one brain cell they use between each staff member, and created something original and funny.

What. The, Heckety heck?

Honestly, I don't know whether Shuukatsu Sensation is a genuine, serious song, or if it's just parodying Japan's ideals. Either way, I'm enjoying the crap outta it!

Actually, this whole single is a damn gem, and further proof that Tsubaki Factory are one of Hello! Pro's glowing gems that they need to let shine! This is a damn strong release, and Shuukatsu Sensation is only the beginning! For now, however, we will focus on the sensation that is job hunting, and Tsubaki Factory dressed as Office Ladies! It's time to take a look at the mature and serious Tsubaki Factory, and head into the workforce to become shining examples of society, for today and tomorrow!

Forget your passions and desires in life, and work until you die! It's time to get serious, leave our student days behind, and focus on business and capitalism. Let's begin this job hunt, and create a sensation!

Forever Momochi! A Final Farewell - Tsugunaga Momoko ~The Last Graduation Appreciation Post~

*Apologies for the late Appreciation Post, however, due to being away and other Blog posts that needed to be posted, I decided to save writing this until now. Even though it's late, please be assured that I still want to appreciate and celebrate Tsugunaga Momoko, even after her Graduation from both Hello! Project and the Entertainment Industry. So, whether you like her or not, please celebrate all that Momoko has given us, and say our final goodbyes to her. Right here, right now, let's think about only Momochi, and the happiness she delivered to her fans, and everyone else!

Momochi!!!!

My original aim for celebrating Momoko's graduation was, of course, to write a bunch of posts about her. I wanted to do about three days' worth of reviews, because whilst there is so much to celebrate about this girl, I had already written about her beforehand. With Berryz Kobou's disbandment (it's not a hiatus) back in 2015, I'd already covered some PV's that included the former Idol. Also, I had written a post where I appreciated her before her graduation. So, there wasn't a lot I could do, anyway, plus I had time constraints.

So, I will only be doing this post, and it isn't because Momoko is not important. She is, hence why I'm doing this Appreciation Post (for the second time), even if it is a lot later than expected. I want to share my thoughts on Momoko, where she stands with me, and formally congratulate her in finally graduating this Idol world, and making her way in life as a regular woman, and a fantastic teacher.

So, without further ado, it's time to celebrate all that is Momochi, in words! For her 15 years of dedication, and her determination to become the perfect Idol, let's thank the wonderful Tsugunaga Momoko, and look back with fondness!

Everyone, it's time to be thankful and nostalgic. Let's remember Momochi forever, with fondness, smiles, and horrible pigtails I wish I could chop off!

[PV Selection] June '17

On time, as it should be, we have the June PV Selection for 2017! Once again, we take a look at the music videos from the month gone by, and judge for ourselves what we have enjoyed, and what we have not! It's time to let our Idols take over, and celebrate the beauty of both their music, and the videos that accompany them! Are you ready to be overwhelmed by their cool and lovely creations?

Let's go!

I won't lie, there were times I couldn't be bothered to write about these PV's, out of sheer laziness. Some days, I just don't want to translate the damn titles. I don't mind the writing part; it's taking the effort to romanize the rest of it XD I swear, I'm super lazy, some days.

Most days. Every day.

Anyways, we're finally here, and as per the usual, all PV's placed into this list, are music videos that I have personally enjoyed, and the ones that stood out most to me. Usually, I have more than what is listed here, however after re-watching some of them, I decide they aren't as impressive as I initially thought, so I take them off. It's just how it is.

Of course, this means that, if there is a certain MV you liked, but it isn't listed here, then there is a chance that I either found it ok, but not worthy, or I just didn't enjoy it, or I initially found it worthy, then got rid of it. It happens, tastes change, and I know what I enjoy. I am a one woman pony show, and I can't appeal to everyone's taste. It's just how it is!

Of course, if you want to share your favourites with me, please don't hesitate to do so! I love finding new MV's and groups from you guys, and finding someone new to follow and enjoy! So, send me some groups, and let watch their music videos, hear their songs, and hopefully, I will fall for them just like you have!

Now, let's get this pony show on the road!

[Music Selection] June '17

Let's sing together! With June well and truly out the way, it's time to celebrate the joys of July and the Summer it brings! Come forth, music of the sun, and let your energetic beats play! But before July's music can think to even leave an impression upon us, I think it's time to take a look at the songs of June, and see what our darling Idols have delivered for us!

Are you prepared for the sweet music that is about to play?

June was partially dominated by C-ute, due to their graduation that took place last month, but I have been able to listen to more music, aside from that. Honestly though, I've been busy, so the list isn't as big as I would like it to be. I feel like June especially, I really didn't take much notice in what was being released. Still, what I've listened to, I have enjoyed. Hopefully, you will enjoy it, too.

Of course, as always, if there are any songs on here you dislike, or there are songs missing that you have personally enjoyed, please do remember that this is a one-woman blog, and that everything posted here are the songs that I have enjoyed from the month gone by. It's all a matter of preference, and for me, these are the preferred songs of the month, past, present and future!

If you have any songs you would like to share with me, though, please do! I am open to hearing new songs and finding new groups. Please share with me, and let me listen to the songs and Idols you love!

Now, it's time to play some music! Let's press play, and sing along with energy and joy! Are you ready?

[PV Selection] May '17

I'm late to the PV party once again, but let's not dwell on that. We have some videos to watch and get through, so let's begin this ritual of music and visuals! Are you ready to check out some Idol PV's, and see which ones suit your tastes?

Who shall we discover on this lovely July day?

Once again, I have delayed my PV Selection post by a month. Let's pray the same doesn't happen to June's posts, because I have things that need to get done. Still, what's done is done, and I will move forward, like I normally do, and give you all the low down on my favourite PV's from May '17! It's always better to be late, than to never have the post arrive!

As per the usual, any videos posted here are the ones that I found amusing. I will not post what I dislike on this list, because it is a collection of what has entertained me over the course of a month. If a PV isn't here, then I either didn't like it, or thought it wasn't worth the words, or I've missed it completely. But, if you want to voice your preferred videos, then please do! Sharing is caring, after all!

Of course, all opinions are my own here, too. Don't like what I say? Well, just accept it. I don't bow down to other peoples ideas and opinions, just to make them happy. I'd rather be disliked, and know myself, than to lose myself to be liked. That's just how I work here. This is a solo blog, and I want to do what makes me happy, and say what I feel! So, there we go!

If you yourself want to share songs or videos you have enjoyed over the course of the year, please let me know! It's always nice to hear from people!

And now, it's time to press play! Let's watch Idols together, and enjoy the music and visions they create for us mere mortals! Ready, GO!!!

Contract Terminated! Kobushi's Fujii Rio Fired From Factory!

Today on July 6th, it was announced by Hello! Project's management team that Fujii Rio, who was supposed to graduate at the end of the Hello! Project Summer tour, has recently left the agency, after her contract was cancelled.

You can read the official statement HERE.

Currently, the only reasons for Rio's sudden departure are vague. Management have stated that Rio's contract was cancelled, as she did not comply to the rules that they had set, therefore resulting in a premature departure from the Kobushi Factory member. According to the announcement, both management and Rio had talked about what she would do before graduating, however as she had not stuck by the rules or her promises to the agency, they found it better to let her go now, as she was not responsible enough for Up-Front or Hello! Project.

However much of this is true, we do not know. Still, it is safe to say that, for Rio, there is / will be some blame on her part. Rarely does a company cancel a contract, unless there is a dispute or scandal of some kind.

Still, it's a little annoying, and I'm not even a fan of this group or the member in question to begin with!

Haro!Promageddon: Let The Salt Flow! - Hello! Project Group Member Additions!

*I did not coin the term 'Haro!Promageddon; someone on Twitter did, thank them, they are a genius. I have no clue who created the term, however XD

After the shock announcement that Hello! Project would essentially dissolve Country Girls after the graduation of Tsugunaga Momoko, and that both Yamaki Risa and Ozeki Mai would become part-time members of H!P to focus on school (a decision that wasn't theirs, from what Risa's blog post tells), it was then revealed that the remaining members (bankable loli's) would all be entrusted to other groups, and continue activities within CG during school breaks and holidays.

It was also announced that Hello! Project Kenshuusei Danbara Ruru, Ichioka Reina and Kawamura Ayano would make their debut, too, much to the delight of the fans.

And today, on June 26th 2017, the group placements have been announced! Be prepared, dear readers and fellow Idol lovers, because the salt levels are high, and not just from my on-going saltiness at CG's near-disbandment... ¬.¬

From the video we were given today, all members in question, and the leaders who represent the new units they will be under, met for the first time to see just who would be where. It's a similar scenario that we have seen previously, and it allows us fan to watch how other members react to newbies joining their respective groups. It can be super sweet and heartfelt, and I love seeing just what everyone says and how they greet the new members who will become a part of their legacy.

This time, however, something seemed a bit off. Watching it was definitely heart-pounding, and Twitter set me up for the excitement that would be finding out who goes where. More-so, I was excited to see where the three Kenshuusei would end up, because of them all, they are the girls who are going to finally debut and shine on stage!

With Morito Chisaki, Yamagawa Nanami and Funaki Musubu, however, I was a little more wary. I mean, these girls were already in groups, and have already shown themselves to be really cute, hyperactive young girls who have expressed themselves in a way that is so very Country Girls. It's going to be weird to see them elsewhere, and I admit, even after sitting for so many hours on this information and processing it all, I'm still unsure, at least on two of them.

I'm also still super salty about CG, but, this is how H!P want to go. So! It's time to check out who goes where, and my thoughts on it. Whether you like what I say or not, I really don't give a fig, but it's time to share! Let's talk H!P, and bitch and whine as we please. On we go~

Are you ready to hear something refreshing from May 2017?

It's time to listen to what our darling Idols have delivered for us from May '17! As per the typical, all songs listed here were chosen by yours truly! The Curse Of A Princess! Houkago Princess Transform Into Swans For 'Sayonara Duarena'!

On July 19th 2017, Houkago Princess will once again transform for their up-coming single release, Syaonara Duarena! This time, fans will enter the world of ballet, and experience the tale of a Princess who is cursed to turn into a swan...

After announcing trhe departures of Horii Nina and Tanaka Asami, as well as Michishige Saho's study break, Universal Music and Houkago Princess staff announced the up-coming release of Sayonara Duarena, which will be their sixth major single release, and 13th overall. This time, the members will transform into Princess Odette, an iconic figure in ballet who is known for being cursed to live as both a human and a swan.

The leading track will tell the story of a girl who is suffering with conflicting feelings, and the use of Duarena in the title, which has been coined to mean 'duality' and 'ballerina', fits the idea of the song perfectly. The members' costumes have also been designed to enhance this idea of duality, whilst also representing the characters of Odette and Odile from the ballet. Staff have claimed that the work of Sayonara Duarena will delicately represent the struggles of finding true love. Maika will lead the track, as the single will come out just after her birthday.

Team ℃-ute, γ‚γ‚ŠγŒγ¨γ†。

Today on June 12th at 6pm JST, ℃-ute held their final performance at Saitama Super Arena. There, they performed for three hours and 10 minutes, finally closing the set at 9:10pm, where they took their final bows and waved goodbye to all of their beloved fans. It was a concert filled with happiness, tears and memories of ℃-ute, and it will be something for us to look back upon fondly when we want to remember the perseverance and delight of ℃-ute, and the amazing group that they became at the end of their journey.

The Final Appreciation Post - Goodbye, ℃-ute.

Before their Graduation tomorrow on June 12th, 2017, let's leave one last message for ℃-ute in a final Appreciation post. It's time to show them our thanks, and deliver our love in as many words as we can before they leave our world, and stop playing their wonderful music...

After 15 years of hard work and dedication, it is time to say goodbye. It's going to be hard, because for so many years this group has graced us with their music, hard work and dedication to the Idol industry, and have faced so many ups and downs, but no matter what, stayed strong and shown us their positive attitudes and brave faces. No matter what was thrown at them, ℃-ute always stood tall and tried their best to show us just how wonderful they are.

Ever since their career as five began, I followed the group as best I could. In the beginning, they were my #2 group in Hello! Project, just after Morning Musume, and even though I have had my own ups and downs with ℃-ute, they have always found a way to entertain me. From their music to their videos, this group has always delivered something that many fans would deem as 'amazing' or 'beautiful', and for so long, they have captured the hearts of many, keeping a firm fanbase and constantly thanking the fans for their support.

I am so glad that, coming into the realm of Idols, I was able to find such a positive, energetic group filled with so many wonderful members.

Hagiwara Mai - The Graduation Appreciation Post

And so we come to the final solo member Graduation Appreciation Post. It is the last goodbye I can give to this member as she stands, so before she departs, I want to take my time and give my thoughts and feelings on her here. Let's share the good times and the memories, and look back with fondness, just before the memories cloud our eyes and spill down our cheeks...

Hagiwara Mai has never really been my favourite, however, I liked her a little more than other people have in the past. Though she may look a little salty in contrast to the other members, and her vocals ridiculed (at least in the Western fandom), I have liked Mai, on more than one occasion. In the past, I thought she was adorable and sweet. Right now, I think that she is a growing young woman, one who is trying her hardest to show that she isn't the little girl we once knew her has.

She mas matured since the early days of ℃-ute, and though she doesn't always look as womanly or even as charming as the other members, there is something about Mai that is likeable. She has her own brand of loveliness, and regardless of how popular she is (or, not), I think that she brings something to the group, and makes it the ℃-ute that we know and love today!

Without Hagiwara Mai, ℃-ute would not be the fun, diverse group that it is. Much like all the other members, Mai is a wonderful addition, and the other four members would not be complete without her.

Okai Chisato - The Graduation Appreciation Post

The hardest Graduation Appreciation Post to write, is always the one that focuses on a cherished member. This is the final goodbye that I do not want to write, but because the day pf this wonderful groups graduation is upon us, it is finally time to say my departing words. Before the stage light fades and she bows out, let's appreciate our dear Idol to the fullest...

I started crying the moment I placed a picture onto this empty post. No words were written, just an image of Chissa and her energetic expression. Out of all the posts thus far, this one will be the hardest to write, because it goes without saying that, of all the members within ℃-ute, Okai Chisato is my favourite. From the very beginning, she was the one I wanted to follow, and for such a long time, she was the sole member I adored. She made the group shine, in my eyes.

Chissa is my ℃-utie rock, and no matter what ups and downs I have had with Hello! Pro or ℃-ute, she has, and always will be, my favourite member. Nothing can change that, and in my mind, no one will ever replace her. She is one of a kind, and will forever hold a place in my heart as one of my original 'Oshimem's'.
